Events in Broome

Broome is certainly the place to be with big events happening most weekends, not to mention the weather is absolutely beautiful at the moment!

The lead up to Ladies Day and Broome Cup is well underway, with the track heating up at the Broome Turf Club last Saturday. See below for dates for the following races;

For a stunning visual show of amazing costumes and talented dancers is on display on the 20th and 21st August at Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre. For more information and tickets, go to the Worn Artpage on the Broome Visitor Centre website

Shinju Matsuri – Festival of the Pearl will be on from 27th August til 5th September 2010, and will include a float parade, Shinju Matsuri ball and dragon boating, among other great events.

Opera Under the Stars is on for the 18th year, and features the following opera stars;

Aldo Di Toro – Tenor

Stuart Skelton – Tenor

James Clayton – Baritone

Kate Johnson – Pianist
