The "Wet" Season

So this is euphemistically the wet season in Broome. And yet it has been the driest February on record with temperatures reaching 39 degrees celcius and only dipping down to a relatively warm 28 or 29 at night. We are waiting with baited breath for a great storm or two and would love to see some rain.
All the local fishermen say that it will be a late wet this year so March could get interesting. If you are planning a visit to our beautiful town it always pays to do some research on the seasons as a lot of the parks and access roads are closed during the wet. Often this is not due to rain but extreme temperatures with Bungles National Park peaking out around 60 degrees!!

On the positive side you can appreciate your surroundings without the major crowds that are evident in our peak season , June-Sept.

Also wet season sunsets are some of the best all year and the storms have to be experienced to be believed…

Check out everything you need to know about this unique place

See you next time
